Stephanie Jeannot Releases Her Latest Holiday EP: “Let the Praises Rise”

Stephanie Jeannot

Stephanie Jeannot keeps a pen and pad around and is always stringing words together to deepen her connection to the world. Such is no different with her latest creative expression of art, “Let the Praises Rise”

There is no denying the truth that NYC-based singer/songwriter Stephanie Jeannot is known for her coming alive with music. Let the Praises Rise” is an EP that consists of four soulful passages overlayed with harmony, to celebrate the holiday season.

Inspired by her upbringing and the humble beginnings of her public singing in the Roman Catholic Church, Jeannot uses this creative space to indulge in vibrant hymn music and psalms. “Let the Praises rise” gives her love for the hymns the space to unfurl in her effort to share the Christmas message that Jesus is the reason for the season which is expressed in each of the featured tunes.

The first song, “Holy, Holy, Holy,” is a remake of an 1826 hymn by Reginald Heber, arranged with the added interlude, her best piano, vocal efforts, and the beautiful saxophone blows of NYC instrumentalist, Don Hanson. The second tune, “Jesus is the Reason,” is the main message of the entire project, inspires the spirit of joy, and features a verse from Joachim Neander’s 1680 hymn, “Praise to the Lord, the Almighty.”

The third tune, “Give Thanks” speaks of the fact that Jesus was born so that we might have light. It features the sparkling bass thumbs of NYC bassist Kristian Morgan and the sparkling background vocals of NYC arranger/songwriter, Jazz E Matt and NYC singer/songwriter Roshida McLeod, helping to let the praises rise. The final tune on the EP, “Peace on Earth” offers peace to all listeners and features the salutatory-style trumpet calls of NYC trumpeter Charles Bartlett. All the songs flow seamlessly into each other with a slew of spiritual harmony and soul, and are a great listen from A to zed that wouldn’t be possible without the help of mixing engineer Muzikman Edition.

Let the Praises Rise” has been released to all streaming platforms on December 13, 2022, and is a great addition to your holiday season listens, as it will ignite your heart with joy as the music flows through your speakers. It is more than just the music; it is Jeannot’s vocal prowess and her gracefully genuine approach that will captivate your mind.
