Up-and-Coming Alt-Rock Singer Apricity releases the Visual to the Follow up Second Single “The Fear “

Months after bursting out onto the music scene without so much as a warning, Scottish-born singer/songwriter Apricity is garnering lots of positive attention with her debut single: the alt-rock extravaganza, “All My Lies.” Now to be joined with follow up single "The Fear," The Ontario-based powerhouse released the five-minute track back in October along with a spooky music video, which was directed by Jesse Read of Dropout Entertainment and Toronto Creative.

Apricity is fuelled by the creative inspiration of female vocalists such as Garbage’s Shirley Mason, Alanis Morrissette, and Blondie’s Debbie Harry. Teaming up with acclaimed producer Thomas McKay, Apricity was initially drawn to the Evanescence-inspired dark tones that permeate the track’s lyrics and music and says McKay was the perfect foil for helping ensure the song was a stylistic good fit. “I want to sing songs that move me; I wouldn’t want to have my name on something I didn’t feel, and this song resonated with me on multiple levels,” she says.

The accompanying music video for “All My Lies” was filmed at Milton’s Country Heritage Park, a location that recreates rural life in 19th century Ontario. Scenes for the video were filmed at The Lucas Family Homestead, a reportedly haunted building constructed in the 1830s, while other scenes were shot at The Mayne Corners United Church, which was built in the 1870s. “Between the setting, the costumes, the amazing talent, and the fact that we were filming in a legitimately haunted building, it all tied together to create something incredibly spooky and beautiful at the same time,” Apricity says.

"All My Lies,” Apricity’s breakthrough debut single — produced by Toronto’s own Thomas McKay — is available along with "The Fear" through all major streaming platforms, including Spotify and Apple Music. Check out the videos on YouTube and connect with Apricity on her website, social media and digital music platforms.
