West Coast Recording Artist, Lost Flyer teams up with Xai on latest single, "Don't Stop"

Phoenix, Arizona's very own, DeRontae Craig aka Lost Flyer is an aspiring R&B artist. Born in Rockford, Illinois, DeRontae always had an appreciation for music. When he was younger, you could catch him listening to Usher, Ginuwine, Michael Jackson, Aaliyah, and B2K. In high school, he started writing music after gaining inspiration from J. Cole and The Weeknd. This new-found hobby became an escape from the harsh realities that surrounded his everyday life.

It was not until DeRontae went off to college at Southern Illinois University, that he decided to take the music business seriously. During his sophomore year, he started recording at one of the studios on campus. Thus, the persona Lost Flyer was born. DeRontae explains that Lost Flyer is about the journey that he was starting and how he had no idea where it would take him. Lost Flyer releases his first track “Thinking Bout You” to the public that following summer. While in college, he moved his recording space to his apartment and released several other songs that include “On Da Low” and his most played song on YouTube, “Need Somebody”.

After graduating in 2017, Lost Flyer decided to move to the West Coast to further pursue his career in music. Settling in Arizona, Lost Flyer has evolved his music while developing powerful music connections with popular recording studios and concert venues. In 2018, Lost Flyer releases his first music video titled “Wanna Do” onto his YouTube channel. While also releasing two more videos, shortly after. Within that same year, he performed in three shows and placed second in a music showcase.

Lost Flyer credits his current style to artists such as Drake, Tory Lanez, 6lack, and Bryson Tiller. Fans will hear the influences when Lost Flyer releases his EP titled Casanova, this summer. You can find the first two singles from this project: “Kama Sutra” and “Don’t Stop” on Spotify and Apple Music. Be sure to connect on social media and digital music platforms.
